In winter Pila is the ideal destination for ski lovers, the ski resort has 70 km of piste, from 2600mt at Couis to 1200mt at Les Fleurs. Degree of difficulty is predominantly medium but you’ll find easy ski runs for beginners and others to challenge the expert skier.
Pila offers many tracks, artificial or natural, smooth or with moguls, perfect for those who are fond of freeride.
Off piste skiing
In Pila it is possible to ski though virgin snow but please remember the dangers of avalanche. So if you choose to go off piste don’t cut across snow clad slopes, keep an eye on the weather bulletins and forecasts and carry with you the A.R.V.A. (mountain rescue location system).
Pila is home for all snowborders. It offers modern comfortable skilifts, perfect slopes and a snow park. The snow park was the first in the Aosta valley and has fixed structures modelled from the landscape, a half pipe, slides, fun box, a quarter and a medium jump.
Open air skating.

Fair of “Saint Ours”
Since more than a thousand years, on the 30th and 31st of January occurs, along the streets of the historical centre of Aosta, the Fair of “Saint Ours”. Each year near 1000 exhibitors show their works, some of which are real masterpieces.
At the Fair you can find all the products of the traditional and local arts: sculptures, carvings, laces, wicker baskets, wrought ironworks and stoneworks and so on.
Moreover, during the two-days Fair is possible to taste the best gastronomic and wine-making products of Aosta Valley. The Fair goes on with the “Veillà” (the waking between the 30th and the 31st): all the streets of the historical centre are lit, crowded and pervaded by folk music and the fragrances of the products to taste.
